Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to leadership and staff
- Advise on employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Assist with policy development, compliance, and updates to the employee handbook
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding and off-boarding processes
- Collaborate with department heads to identify HR solutions and best practices
- Maintain and update HR records and systems in addition to benefit management
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
- Handle sensitive employee issues with professionalism and discretion
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience (preferably in a mid-sized company)
- Strong knowledge of BC employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities remotely
- Experience with HRIS systems and modern communication tools (Slack, Zoom, etc.)
- HR certification CPHR is a plus
