Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Type: Full-Time hours - 5 month + contract position
Key Responsibilities:
- Inputting and processing invoices into the accounting system
- Managing and reconciling accounts payable transactions
- Ensuring accuracy in payment processing and maintaining financial records
- Liaising with vendors and subcontractors regarding invoice queries
- General accounting duties, including assisting with monthly and year-end reporting
- Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely disbursements
- Assisting with other administrative and accounting tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills to work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Construction industry experience is an asset
- Experience with TRAILD software is a significant asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
