The Opportunity: Quality at the Core

Are you a detail-oriented scientist looking to make an impact on the food we eat every day? Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Laboratory Technician. In this role, you aren’t just running tests; you are the guardian of quality, ensuring that every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of safety and excellence.

Whether you are an experienced tech or a recent graduate with a passion for Chemistry and Plant Sciences, this 12-month contract offers a deep dive into high-volume food manufacturing and professional-grade laboratory management.

The Rhythm of the Role

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (Enjoy your evenings and weekends!)

  • The Environment: Fast-paced, precision-driven, and collaborative.

  • Your Mission: From raw grain analysis to final product verification, you will manage the full lifecycle of testing, instrument calibration, and data integrity.

What You’ll Do

  • Precision Testing: Set up, calibrate, and operate advanced lab equipment to analyze raw grains and finished samples.

  • Solution Synthesis: Prepare chemical solutions and process samples (cleaning, grading, grinding) according to strict standardized procedures.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) and ensure all SOPs are accurate, clear, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

  • Problem Solve: Troubleshoot instrument maintenance and provide feedback on how they can improve our methodology and workflows.

  • Collaborate: Work closely with the Director and vendor partners to ensure the lab remains at the cutting edge of food safety technology.

About You

You are someone who finds beauty in the details. You thrive in a setting where "good enough" isn't an option and enjoy the balance of independent focus and team collaboration.

Your Background:

  • Education: A degree in Sciences, with a strong preference for Chemistry or Plant Chemistry.

  • Technical Savvy: Experience (or academic exposure) to laboratory equipment, chemical handling, and LIMS.

  • Mindset: You learn new methodologies quickly and can juggle multiple tasks without losing your focus on safety and hygiene.

  • Experience: 1+ year of professional lab experience is preferred, but they are happy to train a motivated recent graduate with strong academic lab foundations.

Why This Opportunity?

This is a chance to build a rock-solid foundation in industrial chemistry and food safety. You’ll gain experience with complex regulatory compliance, professional-grade troubleshooting, and high-level data management, skills that are in high demand across the global manufacturing sector.
