About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Attendance Management Specialist to join a large organization for 2-4 month+ contract opportunity in Richmond, BC.
In this key role, you will work together with the HR team to assist with overflow on their employee time and attendance tracking systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. You'll analyze attendance trends, support employees and managers, and help drive initiatives that improve punctuality and reduce absenteeism.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Attendance Records:
Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, including clock-in/out times, absences, breaks, and leave requests.

Analyze Attendance Data:
Identify trends, flag issues such as frequent absenteeism or tardiness, and provide actionable insights to management.

Enforce Policies & Compliance:
Ensure alignment with internal attendance policies and applicable labor regulations.

Employee & Manager Support:
Act as the go-to resource for attendance-related inquiries. Support staff with leave processes, documentation, and return-to-work procedures.

Coordinate Return-to-Work Processes:
Facilitate smooth transitions for employees returning from leave, ensuring all documentation and any necessary accommodations are in place.

Develop & Implement Attendance Strategies:
Contribute to initiatives that improve attendance rates and promote a culture of accountability and reliability.

System Maintenance:
Oversee attendance tracking systems, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate, and effectively used by employees and supervisors.

Reporting & Communication:
Generate and share regular attendance reports with HR and Operations. Communicate relevant trends and updates as needed.

Issue Resolution:
Address attendance concerns, working collaboratively with the HR team. Support disciplinary processes when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of attendance management practices and BC labor law compliance
  • CHPR an asset
  • Proficiency with attendance and HR systems (e.g., Kronos, ADP, Workday, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and spot trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
